In case of emergency can you reach us at any time: Tel +45 97495195.

This call will always be answered by Klitferie staff. However, as we are only a small family business, we ask that you contact us outside our opening hours only in genuine emergencies.

Our holiday areas span two different local authorities, which means that waste sorting procedures vary.

You will often find a guide to waste sorting in the holiday homes, and the bins are marked with symbols that are self-explanatory.

As a general rule, you must purchase your own firewood.

If there is already firewood at the property, it will be stated whether it may be used and whether the homeowner requires payment for it.

Buy your firewood locally to ensure that you are actually heating with dry wood. During the winter season, you can also buy it directly from Klitferie.

Important: It is not permitted to collect firewood in the local area.

Yes, you can park right next to the holiday home.

With most of the properties, you can drive right up to the front door.

🧽 Practical information

Have you booked the cleaning service?

Even if you’ve booked a cleaning service, there are still a few things you’ll need to do yourself.

All the information on cleaning with the cleaning service.

Are you cleaning it yourself?

If you decide to clean the house yourself before you leave, there’s a list of things that need to be done.

All the information on cleaning if you’re doing it yourself.

Everything done?

Then have a thorough look around once more, in all the cupboards and in all the nooks and crannies, so you don’t leave anything behind in the house. Don’t forget the charging cables and so on.

You usually bring your own bed linen and towels.

Book a linen package

It is also possible to hire bed linen and towels. Simply order them when you book, and you will be given the linen packages here at the office upon arrival.

On the day of departure, simply hand the linen back here.

You’ll usually find the user manuals inside the holiday home.

Tips and manuals are also available in the Klitferie app and on the → User Manuals website.

If there is a barbecue at the property, you are welcome to use it.

Klitferie cannot be held responsible for the condition of the barbecue, and tenants are responsible for cleaning it themselves. Klitferie’s service staff do not clean or inspect the barbecues at the holiday homes.

The tenant is responsible for providing the charcoal. In the case of a gas barbecue, the tenant is responsible for replacing the gas cylinder and bearing the costs thereof.

IMPORTANT: A lit barbecue must NEVER be left unattended. We often have strong gusts of wind here and there are many thatched-roof houses in the area, which can catch fire very quickly.

🌧️ If something goes wrong

As a tenant, you are responsible for the property for the duration of your stay.

If the key is lost, you must notify Klitferie immediately.

If the key is not found, the tenant must pay for the replacement of the lock and keys in the holiday home.

The tenant is responsible for the house and its furnishings throughout the tenancy period.

Any damage must be reported to the office immediately so that it can be repaired. If any crockery or decorative items are broken, this must also be reported. You are obliged to pay the purchase price or to provide a replacement yourself.

During your stay, you are also responsible for the garden furniture and the parasol. So make sure you secure these items properly when you leave the house or go to bed – the weather here can turn very stormy very suddenly.

Any damage or complaints regarding previous tenants must be reported to the office no later than 24 hours after arrival.

If you know in advance that you will be arriving late, please let us know in good time by emailing post@klitferie.com.

On the day of your arrival, you will receive a text message or email about an hour before closing time with details of where to collect the key if you are arriving after closing time.

There are plenty of paths and walking routes in the area: some of them are signposted, particularly the lovely paths and trails in the Husby Klitplantage, about 4 km north of the office.

Pop into the office – we have some excellent free maps for you there.

Swimming is always brilliant – especially on a hot summer’s day.

If you have children, we recommend the fjord. The water here is lovely and calm and shallow.

In addition, there is a beautiful swimming lake called 'Skavemosen' in Husby Klitplantage, located at the end of Græmvej. You can drive right up to it, and there are good toilet facilities and small shelters on site.

If you’d like to swim in the North Sea, you should never do so alone. There can be undercurrents!

Very close by, in Thorsminde, there is a bathing bay that is cordoned off in summer. During the high season, lifeguards from Trygfonden are also on site here.

🐶 Holiday with dog

You are allowed to bring your dog to around two-thirds of our holiday homes. Use the filter on the website.

Good to know when booking online: Your dog will be registered as part of your party:

Klitferie - Booking with pets

In any case, you must clear away all dog poo from the property before you leave.

Pets are not allowed on the furniture or in the beds.

We recommend treating your pets for fleas during your holiday or using a flea collar. Should fleas be found in the house, the last tenants who brought pets with them must bear the costs of the spray treatment of the house.

The landlord cannot be held liable to the tenants for any flea infestation.

Important: Pets must never be left alone in the holiday home!

Even if you have booked a cleaning service, you must vacuum the entire house before departure. If you fail to do so, an additional cleaning fee of EUR 50 will be charged.

Please also pick up after your dog when walking it and remember that dogs must be kept on a lead in the holiday home area and on the beach.

The area is particularly well suited for dogs. There are good paths and wide beaches, as well as dog-friendly dog parks "Hunde Skov" in the surrounding area.
