Fjand is one of the oldest holiday home areas along the West Coast. The houses in Fjand are often cozy wooden houses that give lots of holiday atmosphere. The location of the houses is also perfect for a holiday close to the beach, as the holiday homes in Fjand are located only 300 meters from the North Sea.
In Fjand, there is therefore ample opportunity to feel, hear and see the North Sea. It is a wonderful experience whether it is summer and sun or it is in the middle of an autumn storm. There is something fascinating about being able to experience the forces of nature up close. After a walk by the beach, summer or winter, however, it is always nice to come back to the holiday home and enjoy a cup of coffee or a good book, either in the sun on the terrace or in front of the wood stove.
From Fjand there is a cycle path directly to Thorsminde, where it is possible to fish from the pier, visit the Strandingsmuseet St. George or buy an ice cream. If you want a slightly longer drive, you can continue north and see Bovbjerg Lighthouse and Bovbjerg Klint. There are great views from there.
You can also go for a walk along the beach from Fjand, and for example see many of the bunkers located on the beach. It is also not far to the northern part of Husby Klitplantage, which offers both forest playground and swimming lake, as well as many bike and hiking trails. If you are more into a relaxing holiday, Spidsbjerg Strand is close by, where you can enjoy the wide sandy beach.
