Rental conditionsArrivalYou will receive the key to your holiday home at the office: The house is available to you from 16:00 at the latest, as soon as it is ready for move-in, you will receive information by text message on your mobile phone. If you arrive outside our opening hours, you will receive a text message with details for the key box behind our office on the day of arrival as per contract. Payment1/3 of the rental price is due at the time of booking, the rest at least 6 weeks before arrival. If the booking is made up to 3 weeks before arrival, the full amount is due at the time of booking. Processing feeA processing fee of EUR 28.00 is charged when the rental contract is issued. DepartureOn the day of departure the house is at your disposal until 10:00. Please return the key to the Klitferie office. Here we will also make the final bill for consumption costs and cleaning (if booked and not paid in advance). CleaningIf you arrive outside the opening hours of the Klitferie office, you as the tenant waive your right to complain about the cleaning. If you wish to order a final cleaning, this must be done at the time of booking or at least 5 days before departure. The price for final cleaning can be found on the Internet. It is indicated for each individual house on www.klitferie.com. Everything you need to do before departure regarding cleaning, whether you clean the house yourself or have ordered a cleaning, can be found on the inside of your welcome map. In any case, rubbish bins and dishwasher must be emptied, hob and oven cleaned. Our tip: Use baking paper. Cleaning agents and cloths are not available in the house, they must be brought by the guest. All furniture and objects must be put back in their original place on departure (take a photo with your mobile phone in order to remember everything). If there is a whirlpool in the house, it must be filled with cold water on the day of departure before you leave the house. Due to hygiene regulations, this also applies if you have not used the whirlpool during your stay. Complaints about cleaning must be reported to Klitferie no later than 60 minutes after arrival and always before moving in. In the event of a complaint, Klitferie will inspect the holiday home and arrange for any additional cleaning if necessary. Energy / water consumptionWater, electricity, oil, geothermal energy, pellet heating etc. are charged according to consumption. Number of persons in the holiday home The number of persons stated in the rental agreement may not be exceeded. 2 children under the age of 3 sleeping in a cot are not counted. Overnight guests must be registered with Klitferie. At no time may more people stay in the house than the number stated in the catalogue (online or printed). Over-occupancy will result in the immediate cancellation of the rental agreement. LiabilityThe tenant is responsible for the house and inventory during the rental period. If damage occurs, please report it immediately to the Klitferie office. This also applies to kitchen and decorative items. In such a case, you may be able to arrange for replacement yourself, otherwise we will take the replacement price into account in the final bill. If you notice any damage caused by a previous tenant, please report this to the Klitferie office within 24 hours of your arrival. Cancellation policyUp to 90 days before arrival: Cancellation of the contract will incur a cancellation fee of 25% of the total rental price, with a minimum of 100 EUR. A rebooking to another rental property or to another date can be made for a fee of 75 EUR (150 EUR for pool houses). 1 to 89 days before arrival: The rental agreement can no longer be cancelled. The tenant is obliged to pay the entire rental price to Klitferie. Cancellation insuranceWhen you book a holiday home with Klitferie, you have the option of taking out travel cancellation insurance through our partner. This comes into effect before and during your stay if you fall ill yourself or have to cancel the rental contract due to a serious illness in the family. The premium for this insurance is 6% of the rental amount. It cannot be refunded if the rental contract is cancelled. High chair/child's travel cotYou can borrow a cot or highchair from us free of charge. They are handed over at the Klitferie office on your arrival. They must also be returned here on departure, otherwise a collection fee of 40 EUR per item will be charged. Bed linen / Bed linen and towelsRent per person for bed linen: 13 EUR Rent per person for bed linen with towels: 20 EUR Please note: The laundry bag must be returned to the office on departure. Otherwise a collection fee of 40 EUR per bag will be charged. DefectsUnfortunately, it can happen that electrical items break in the house. If this happens, please contact the office immediately. We will have the damage repaired as quickly as possible. Please understand that it can sometimes take a few days, especially in connection with weekends and public holidays, or if a replacement part has to be procured. PetsOn the website www.klitferie.com, you can see for each house whether a pet is permitted and how many. Use the filter function to find houses that meet your requirements. Please note: Cats are sometimes not allowed, even if a pet is permitted in principle. If you would like to bring a cat, please read the house texts carefully and indicate this in the comments field when booking. Please call us if you would like to bring more than 2 pets, then we will clarify with the owner whether it is possible. Please note: More pets in the house than stated, can lead to immediate cancellation of the tenancy. Please respect the reference to ‘small pets’ in the text. If in doubt, simply ask us. Good to know: Even in a house where no pets are allowed, it may be that the owner himself has an animal that occasionally stays in the holiday home. Pets are not allowed on the furniture or in the beds. We recommend treating the animals against fleas during the holiday or putting a flea collar on them. If flea infestation is found in the house, the last tenant with pets must pay for pest control. The landlord cannot be held responsible for a flea infestation in the tenant's holiday home. Pets must never be left alone in the holiday home. We ask you to clean the house thoroughly before departure. Remember, the guests after you may not have pets and also want to move into a clean house. Even if you have booked a cleaning service, you have to vacuum clean the entire house before you leave. Failure to do so may result in an additional cleaning charge of 50 EUR. The propertySome of the houses have a lawned garden, others have natural grounds with heather and high grass. It is generally strictly forbidden to camp on the property. The number of people specified for the house must be adhered to. In the event of non-compliance, the tenancy is cancelled immediately and without compensation. If the property has a lawn, it may be mowed during your rental period. Please understand this disturbance during your holiday. Playground equipmentUse of the play equipment on the grounds of the holiday home is at your own risk. NoiseNot everyone is on holiday, so there may be construction work, renovations or the building of a new holiday home in the neighbourhood during your holiday. Unfortunately, we cannot prevent this and therefore cannot be held responsible. General informationThe houseThe bathrooms can be very different. In older houses, the shower is often located in a corner of the bathroom with just a curtain. The bedrooms are also very different: double beds are from 140 cm to 180 cm wide, single beds from 70 cm to 90 cm wide, the length varies between 180 and 200 cm. The kitchen and living room are equipped according to the needs and requirements of the respective owner. Therefore, not everything that is considered standard in everyday life is always available in a holiday home. Some are very well equipped, others are rather spartan. TelevisionThere are usually 2 Danish programmes on TV. If the house is equipped with a satellite dish, some German programmes are available, but not all. In the unlikely event that there are problems with the TV or satellite dish on arrival, we ask for your understanding that the technicians will be away for the weekend from Friday evening and will not be able to attend to your request until Monday at the earliest. Internet accessInternet access is free of charge in the holiday homes. Intermittent outages may occur. The speed of the internet connection can vary greatly from holiday home to holiday home. Neither Klitferie nor the holiday home owner can be held liable for this. StoveOnly dry hardwood may be used in the stove. Never use wood from the beach, as residual moisture and the high salt content will damage the stove. It is possible that the stove has not been completely cleaned when you arrive. The reason for this is the risk of fire from hot ash. If you have any questions about the individual houses, don't hesitate to contact us. Tool shedThere is often a tool shed or garden shed on the property. Please note: These buildings are not always available to the tenant. The homeowners sometimes use them for their private belongings. The same applies to individual rooms that are locked or cupboards that are locked. Standard equipmentCoffee machine, small freezer in the fridge (in some houses there is a separate freezer), cooker, oven, shower, duvets and pillows for the number of people the house is normally designed for (duvets and pillows usually show slight signs of wear). Garden furnitureTable and chairs or bench are usually provided. Some houses have 2 deckchairs. Cushions for the garden furniture are often not included. If there is a barbecue at the house, it must be used with extreme caution. Make sure you always extinguish it with water when you have finished. It is the tenant's responsibility to keep the barbecue clean. We take no responsibility for the condition, but recommend the use of barbecue trays. The weather is often changeable on the coast. You should therefore pay particular attention to the parasol and garden cushions. If these are present in the house, the tenant is liable for any damage during the rental period. ShoppingIn the winter months, the distance to the shops can be a little longer than indicated, as some of the local shops are closed from November to Easter. RubbishThere are collection points for sorting waste, and sometimes special bins at the house. Cans/metal - paper - cardboard - glass are sorted. You can find more details in the information folder in the house. Residual waste is collected approximately every fortnight in summer and every 4 weeks in winter. NatureThe holiday home is very close to nature, so there may be crawling and flying insects in and around the house. Klitferie cannot be held responsible for this. Important: Mosquito nets must not be attached to windows and frames. If mosquito nets are left behind, the tenant will be charged for the cost of cleaning or replacing the frame. Denmark is home to a small snake, the adder. Do not touch them, their bite is poisonous. If your pet is bitten, seek veterinary treatment, e.g. Dyrlæge Centre Vest, Herningvej in Ringkøbing: BeachThe beach in this area is partly sandy and partly pebbly. Use of the beach is free of charge. Dogs must be kept on a lead so that they do not disturb other guests. Please only use the marked paths in the area. The dunes are very sensitive. Therefore, do not allow children to slide down or play on the slopes. Holidays with a dogPlease always pick up dog faeces when your dog relieves itself on the road or path and simply dispose of the bags in the waste bin. ATTENTION: Dogs must be kept on a lead. Dog forestHusby Klitplantage has a very nice dog forest. In the Danish Nature Agency's dog forests, dogs are allowed to run off the lead, provided you have full control over them at all times. Bike hireYou can hire bicycles directly from the Klitferie office. For anglersIf an additional freezer unit is available at the holiday home, we will indicate this separately for anglers together with the relevant capacity in the description. Sometimes there are changes, but you can always find the current status on the Internet. We also have some 180 litre freezers that can be rented for 50 EUR each. IllnessPlease bring your insurance card with you. Place of jurisdictionThe place of jurisdiction is the Danish courts in Ringkøbing or Holstebro. Force majeureIf Klitferie is prevented from making the holiday home available due to circumstances that can be described as force majeure and that were not known when the rental agreement was concluded, Klitferie may cancel the booked holiday stay in return for a voucher for the rental amount paid. The same applies if the tenant is unable to reach the holiday home due to such circumstances. This voucher must be redeemed within 12 months after the circumstances that led to the cancellation of the planned holiday have ceased to exist. It can only be used to pay for a new holiday with Klitferie. Any amount paid for travel cancellation insurance will not be transferred to the voucher. The processing fee paid will also not be transferred to the voucher, but is due to Klitferie. Force majeure includes, but is not limited to, war, strikes, natural disasters, epidemics, pandemics, public restrictions and the like, which result in the renter being unable to travel or Klitferie being unable to make the holiday home available to the renter without significant costs. Printing errorsPrinting errors and price changes due to major exchange rate fluctuations are reserved.
